1.1.11 @ 11 mins to midnite.

Zamaan & I were on our way back to our hotel in Jaipur at around 11 minutes to midnight on 1.1.11. This was the gist of a short discussion just before he crashed out.

I was telling Zamaan that we would be driving from Jaipur to Delhi to take our flight back to Bombay.

Z: Why can't we fly back from here?

I: Because we have our return booked from Delhi.

Z: Can we drive back to Bombay instead?

I: It would take very long to drive back.

Z: How long does it take from Delhi to Bombay by car?

I replied (for lack of a proper estimate): 2 days!

Z: And how long does it take by plane?

I: 2 hours.

Z: So if it takes 1 hour by plane, it takes 23 more hours by car?

I was still digesting this quick processing & said something about it not being exactly 24 hours (fumbling with words) to which I got another quick rejoinder.

Z: Oh, so the car takes '24 times' the time it takes by plane?

By the time I recovered from this, he was fast asleep.
