‘Tis truly a tragedy, The story I recite to thee, It was once upon a time, When there reigned no crime; The rich and the poor, The young and the old, They all lived happily, And there was no greed for gold.
Life was so lovely, It was beautiful and fun, But can never again be, In the era of this sun.
But that was the calm, The calm before the storm, That took away everything, With no regulation, nor norm.
It brought in the hunger, And in came treachery; Love gave way to anger, … truly a pity!
Life had a change, As radical as can be, Losing all its heroes, To the stormy sea.
Then there came a time, When again prevailed calm, But this was the calm, That came after the storm.
Life had to be picked, From the face of this Earth, And remolded to accept, Laughter and mirth.
All wanted a miracle, To reduce the strife; For want of a hero, Many lost a life!
