And so the day is finally here.
The day that made you 'my dear'.
The day that marks our union.
The day you got your minion :-P.
We have chosen our battles well.
To live 'n' learn and live to tell.
To fight again another day.
Just to find a better way.
Whenever ego raised its ugly head.
Whenever maturity seemed dead.
Whenever the voice of reason had fled.
Our deeper bond held us in good stead.
Purposefully, our anger we shed.
And thus, unscathed we emerged instead.
The seventh year has come and gone.
The itch somehow was never born.
And now that we have a new dawn.
We'll have lots more to see and do.
We'll have lots more of challenges new.
We'll have miles to go and then some.
To play our roles as dad and mum.
(...And in time, the time'll come.
To also play granddad and grandmum.)
I love you more with each passing day!
